Gary Gavin

Gary has worked across the varied and complex business requirements of the Australian energy industry for the full variety of energy and environmental product commodities and markets.

He has been responsible for a range of activities including risk policy development, market risk and credit risk analyses and management, operational risk review, program and technology economic analysis, energy policy design, derivative valuation and financial reporting, trading analysis, transfer pricing, trading regulatory compliance, load forecasting, load research, customer segmentation, and financial settlement.

Gary has held senior roles with major utilities and authorities including EnergyAustralia, AGL Energy, Origin Energy, CitiPower (owners Entergy and American Electric Power), the Renewable Energy Authority of Victoria, and State electricity and gas utilities.

Gary has qualifications in Science, Economics, Applied Finance and Environmental Science. He has presented conference papers across the areas of risk management, renewable energy economics, and energy efficiency marketing programs delivery and evaluation.
